Activated carbon has a huge specific surface area, can adsorb residual chlorine, odor, part of the organic compounds in the water.

For example, the chlorine odor in water can be effectively adsorbed by activated carbon.

The adsorption effect of activated carbon is based on the microporous structure of its surface, and these micropores can act like a small pocket to organize harmful substances.

3. Reverse osmosis filtration

1. Reverse osmosis water purifier is currently the highest filtration accuracy of a water purifier.

Its core component is the reverse osmosis membrane, and its filtration precision can reach about 0.0001 micron.

Under the action of pressure, only water molecules can pass through the reverse osmosis membrane, and almost all impurities such as heavy metal ions (e.g., lead, mercury, etc.), bacteria, viruses, etc. are retained.

This is like a very fine sieve that allows only the smallest “water molecules” to pass through.
