The Working Principle of Water Purifier

(A) filtration technology classification

    1. Microfiltration (MF) microfiltration is the use of pore size in 0.1 – 10 micron membrane filtration. 1)This type of filtration can effectively remove sediment, rust, suspended solids and other large particles of impurities in the water.
    2. Ultrafiltration (UF) The pore size of ultrafiltration membrane is generally between 0.001 – 0.1 micron. It can not only remove the impurities that microfiltration can handle, but also filter out some macromolecular organics, colloids, bacteria, etc.
    3. Nanofiltration (NF) Nanofiltration membranes have a pore size of about 1 nanometer. Nanofiltration is in between ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis, it can remove divalent and above ions, such as calcium, magnesium, sulfate, etc.
    4. Reverse osmosis (RO) reverse osmosis is a high-precision filtration technology, its membrane pore size is very small, generally in 0.0001 – 0.001 micron. In the reverse osmosis process, under the pressure higher than the osmotic pressure of the solution, only water molecules can pass through the reverse osmosis membrane, while almost all other impurities, including inorganic salts, heavy metal ions, organics, bacteria, viruses and so on, are retained.
