Water Purifier Filter Element Installation Points
As the core component of the water purifier, the correct installation of the filter element is
directly related to the water purification effect and the service life of the water purifier.
The following details the key points of filter element installation.
Before installation, be sure to read the product manual carefully. Different brands and models of water purifiers,
filter types and installation methods are different. The instructions will clearly mark the filter sequence,
direction and installation precautions. For example, some filter elements have arrows indicating the
direction of water flow, and ensure that the direction is correct when installing.
Keep the installation environment clean and avoid operating in a dusty, humid or high temperature environment.
The dusty environment is easy to cause impurities to enter the water purifier, the wet
environment may rust the metal parts, and the high temperature may affect the performance of the filter element.
Before the filter element is formally installed, the filter element must be pre-treated. Some activated carbon filter elements may have residual
carbon powder, should be soaked in clean water first rinse, remove carbon powder, to prevent carbon powder into the subsequent waterway.
Perform the installation in strict sequence. Generally, PP cotton filter is installed first, which can intercept large particles of impurities, such as
sand and rust; Then install activated carbon filter element to absorb residual chlorine, odor and part of organic matter;
Finally, the filter element with higher accuracy is installed, such as RO reverse osmosis filter or ultrafiltration filter.
During installation, ensure that the filter element is closely fitted to the interface. PP cotton filter is usually inserted directly into the card slot,
to ensure that it is inserted to the end and stuck tightly; If the activated carbon filter element is threaded,

it should be properly tightened with a special wrench to avoid too tight damage to the filter element or too loose resulting in water leakage.
For precision filter elements such as RO reverse osmosis filter, the installation should be more careful,
gently push into the interface, and then tighten the fixed device.
After the installation is complete, a thorough inspection should be carried out. Gently shake the filter element to check whether it is stable;
Check the joints to make sure there are no gaps. At the same time, open the water purifier for water test to
observe whether there is leakage at the connection of the filter element. If water leaks, turn off the water source and reinstall or replace the gasket.
